KHS Students paint portraits of Kew Centenarian residents

As part of the Kew Festival three of our talented senior students  Georgia  Benini, Ashlee Gowans and Sophia Cleaver visited residents at the Karana Community Centre to meet, share stories, sketch and paint some of their centenarians.

It was a positive experience for the students and the centenarians. Below is feedback from the organiser of the Kew festival, Rose Conners Dance.

"Dear Katherine,

Sophia and Georgia were fantastic today at Karana Community.

They both did a lovely sketch of their centenarian and had some wonderful interactions.

It was a delight to see both generations gaining so much from the experience. All the nursing home staff are excited about the project and were most impressed by the quality of the sketches the girls produced on the spot".
