During the mid-semester holidays, KHS were given the opportunity to attend the VicSRC Congress 2018, a three day camp for student leaders across Victoria led by young leaders to empower student voice.
Over the course of the camp students worked in teams to pitch an idea concerning an issue faced by the current education system. Our group advocated for transforming the VCE system to enhance student experience and results by incorporating more student involvement and feedback, to adapt the curriculum for future generations.
Discussing and sharing ideas with students from many schools exposed the team to many new and inspiring perspectives for our Kew High School SRC leaders.
Our team's idea made the VicSRC priority list of issues for further discussion.
