Grease - KHS school production

Grease is the word when the cult movie came out in 1978 and the word is still alive and well 40 years on, as evident of by the squeals of excitement we heard the day it was announced that Kew High School would tackle this audience favourite for our 2018 production.

Many people do not realise that the 1978 movie catapulting a young John Travolta to fame was actually based on a Broadway show first performed 3,388 times and remains one of Broadway's longest running shows.  It is this Broadway version that Kew High School performed.

Including the well known characters and songs we had big expectations to deliver.  And deliver the students did.  Through six months of rehearsals during lunchtimes, after school and on weekends resulted in this professional production of Grease.

Playing to 4 sold out nights and one matinee, thrilling the audiences with dance, songs, music and the colour of the Broadway musical.

Special thanks to Seraya Brain, Michael Brant and Judy Bartosy for their amazing leadership of this project.
