SRC is the Student Representative Council. Leadership positions are available in years 7 to 11. Each year level will have a female and male representative for each house group.
To be on the SRC students will submit an application which is voted on by their peers. They attend weekly meetings and are a communication conduit between school leadership and students.
SRC members who reflect the views of the student body are important in the leadership of the school.
The School for Student Leadership is a Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) initiative offering a unique residential education experience for year nine students.
Students experience a variety of challenges and team learning that draws upon personal development as young leaders. There are three campuses in Victoria, The Alpine School at Dinner Plain, Snowy River Campus at Marlo and Gnurad-Gundidj near Camperdown.
Each year Kew High School is fortunate to be offered places in the program. Students apply through a rigorous submission process. This year 8 of the successful applicants are attending the leadership program at the Gnurad Gundidj campus. Find out more
