This Term, students in year 10 2D Art stepped away from the painterly art of traditional portraiture and into the world of the conceptual. Students explored their identity through mind-mapping, generated several ideas and completed conceptual drawings, selecting one for the basis for their artwork. Students used their knowledge and skills in using the art elements and principles, and materials and techniques, to create a conceptual self-portrait that expressed ideas and aesthetic qualities.
