Exciting, high quality and high energy describes Term 3 in Musicland. Students and staff were involved in a number of different performances including:
- The Jazz and Swing Night at Latrobe Golf Club in Alphington: this was a very successful night and the new venue worked really well; so much so that we will go there again next year.
- The Victorian Schools Music Festival: the Senior Stage Band and Intermediate Concert Band performed, gaining gold and silver places.
- The VCE Music Performance Evening: a showcase of the talents of our year 11 and 12 music students, and a trial practical exam at the same time.
- Kew’s Got Talent: the usual diverse array of talented students performed. It was, for many VCE students their last opportunity to perform.
- The Chaplaincy dinner: the Senior Jazz Band performed at this annual event.
- Various assemblies and lunchtime concerts.
Term 4 will also see the Orchestra perform for Presentation Night, along with performances by other ensembles; the Junior Heat of Kew’s Got Talent; Music Camp 2; lunchtime concerts; and the end of year concert, Q UP. See you all then!
